“Who will be performing the work and how long have these team members been with your company?”

Every work gets completed by me, James.

“How many painters will there be on my project?”

Collaborators work with me which one of them is my wife who as well as helping me in common jobs, is specialised in wood jobs.

“When will the work start and when will it be completed, approximately?”

The start and the end of the works are always indicated on my initial quote. In 99% of cases the work is delivered on the date indicated in my quotation.

“If I need to speak with someone regarding colors or any issues, who do I call? May I have their direct phone number?”

You can call me or write to me by email or text message at any time. Customers often change their minds about the choice of colours, I am aware of this and I always offer my complete availability if a change is necessary.

“What are the measures that will be taken to limit dust, to keep non-painted areas clean, and to ensure that my family will still have access to the newly painted areas while you are working? “

The difference between one painter and another lies right here. Protecting environments from excessive dust production is important both for the customer and for us who work. To overcome this, we use modern equipment designed specifically for this need, such as MIRKA class M extractors and its ultra-technological sanders.

“Do you vacuum and clean daily?”

Absolutely YES! The last twenty minutes of the working day are dedicated only to leaving the place in the best conditions. Everything is collected, including tools and paint cans.

“Do you use regular VOC paints, or are the paints No VOC paints?”

We prefer to use paint with a very low VOC content. VOCs or Volatile Organic Compounds are chemicals found in solvent-based and in small quantities in many water-based paints and coatings. Their main purpose in solvent-based paints is to act as the medium to transfer the paint from the can to the surface and aid the paint’s flow. Secondly, some VOCs preserve the paint in the can, preventing it from spoiling. In addition, they will be required when the coating requires specialist properties such as rust prevention. Once applied, the VOCs evaporate and it is because of this transfer that decorating areas should be appropriately ventilated.

“How do I know the VOC content of paint?”

A simple labelling system helps users understand the level of VOC content in the paint they buy. Each decorative coating product containing VOCs will display details of the VOCs contained and in many cases show one of these 5 classifications or globes on the packaging: Minimal – Low – Medium – High – Very High

“Can I request No VOC paints be used in my home?”

You have every right to ask that a low VOC content paint be used, I will be happy to guide you in the best choice.

“How clean will my home be upon completion? Do I need to schedule my professional home cleaning service to follow-up?”

This is one of our strengths! At the end of the work the areas will be perfectly clean and tidy. Often a person I trust takes care of cleaning windows, doors, furniture or other areas where dust may have settled in a more thorough manner.

“Will you be using the best products available, and will my quote include the best products available? Can I request products that I like or have read reviews about? “

As a base I always suggest the Top Trade line from Dulux, but I will be very happy to use any other good brand of your choice.

“What time does your work day start?”

In order not to create too much disturbance, we show up at the clients’ homes no earlier than 9.30 am.

“What time do you finish work?”

We leave the client’s house never later than 5 pm.

“Do you and your team leave the job site for lunch or to go to the bathroom?”

We rarely leave your house to go to lunch, in 99% of cases we eat something we brought from home. We avoid using your bathroom, if you have a guest bathroom and make it available to us we will use it, but with great care and attention to keep it in perfect order and cleanliness.

“What is your company’s policy for satisfaction?”

There are no alternatives, the goal is your complete and total satisfaction…!
